Warning!!!  Formatting a disk completely erases all data on the disk.



  1. Place the disk you want to format into the floppy drive of the computer. This should be an Internal Floppy Drive, External Floppy Drives connected through a USB cable cannot format Non DOS diskettes.
  2. The Disk Format window will open as shown at the right. Select the required format, click Format. 


Note

Depending on the type of diskette, formatting can take several minutes to complete. Do not eject the disk until the system prompts you that the formatting is completed.
