Searching

Database Toolbar:

 Search the disk for directories with designs.

Select this button for searching directories with designs in your disk.  In the same way you can easily press with the right mouse button on a spot point of the left dialog box's frame and choose Refresh subdirectories tree  from the pop-up menu.

Then the program automatically finds all the directories and prompts you with the total number of them. Note: If a directory includes designs its color becomes light green.  Every time you can view the directory tree with all the directories along with the sub-dirctories on the left frame of the database's dialog box

  Insert designs in Database.

Select this button for inserting designs into the Database or press with the right mouse button on a spot point of the left dialog box's frame and choose Insert Designs in Database.

A dialog box will appear where you can click on the Sub-directories checkbox to insert directories or sub-directories into the database.  The database then searches and adds all the designs for the selected directory.

Note: If you don't want to insert the designs from the subfolders, uncheck the "Read subdirectories".

3 ways to view the designs. Large Icons, Small Icons & Details

Select one of the 1st two buttons to view the icons of the designs in large or small size respectively.

Select the third button to get a list of information concerning the designs such a file name, size, etc.

 Check & Customize the Database: 

Checks the Database for old files to delete.

Select this button to back up the database file, change the database file to another, or check it.  Select the appropriate tab for every operation, then click the relevant button.  The Database keeps information that is not saved in the design.xxx file.  Therefore, it is a good idea to use the Tools button to performance periodic backup, to minimize the chances of information loss.

Ways to narrow your Database search. (per customer, per time, per color, etc.)

Production per time:

• Press the Time Period button to specify a time period.  Then you see all the production during this time period.
• Select only one year and you can view the time period divided into months.  Select many years and you will see the time divided into years.
• specify if you want to see designs or stitches. (Using drop down list), or if you want to have the result sorted by time or by productions (Using the drop down list)
• While you specify the Time period, it is possible to give more constraints.  For example to give a customer's name, so you ask for all the production during this time period directed to the specified customer.
• Press the Print button at the top if you want to print the page.

Production per customer

• Production per customer, operator, category and color, have similar functionality.
• This dialog displays the designs directed for each customer, of made by each operator, or having a specified number of colors, or having assigned to a specified category.
• Similar to Production per time, you can have the information in designs or in stitches, you can have it sorted by item or by production, (Just select using the drop down lists).
• If you check the Time period at the top right corner to From and Up to buttons are enabled and you can specify a time period limit for the statistical information.
• Press the Print button at the top if you want to print the page.
