Step Pattern utilizes a repeating pattern to produce special effects in the stitching. The pattern used is to produce the effect does not alter depending on stitch inclination. This produces a very uniform looking pattern.
Embroidery Settings For Step Pattern

Stitch Type:

Select from the drop down list from hundreds of pattern to choose from. Click the Catalog button to bring up a list of thumbnails of the patterns step types.

Step to Satin Limit:
|
In very small areas, it is not practical to break the stitches into step. This setting defines the width of the column at which the stitches will be sewn in satin instead of step as shown by the hi-lighted area in the image at the right.

Angle:
|
Sets the angle of the pattern in the fill area
|
Max Width:
|
The width of the pattern in the fill area
|
Max Height:
|
The height of the pattern in the fill area
|

Distance X:
|
The distance between the start points of the pattern, Normally this will be set to the same value as the Max Width, but can be changed to move patterns apart or together. This distance is on the same angle as the pattern angle, in most cases, this will be the horizontal distance.

Distance Y
|
The distance between the start points of the pattern, Normally this will be set to the same value as the Max Height, but can be changed to move patterns apart or together. This distance is perpendicular to the pattern angle, in most cases, this will be the vertical distance
|
Offset from Outline:
|
The distance from the actual outline to start generating the pattern step.
|
Profession Elite Level has the ability to create even more pattern step patterns.
