This option will display a small dot on the screen where the stitch is broken, This could be a Hit stitch where the needle will actually penetrate the fabric or a Jump stitch where the needle stays up. Needle points connected with a dotted line are jumps, those connected with a solid line are hits.

There are 2 different dots that can be shown. Select this option once shows the needle points, select it again, the points will be bolder. Press a third time and the points will be hidden. (Keystroke P)
