A Macro is a keystroke used to perform an action. Macros are used to provide quick access to embroidery tools or recipes with their associated embroidery settings.
Suppose you use the Satin Line recipe a lot, but normally you use either a width of 10 or a width of 25. With Macros you can save these settings as a simple keystroke eliminating the need to manually change the width back and forth. This feature becomes more important as the number of parameters change. Imagine if not only width were to change, but also the density, underlay options and stitch type? For this type of digitizing Macros can be a real time saver.

Before you can use a Macro you must first Create one. After creating a Macro you use it utilizing the Process command

  1. Select an input tool and recipe that you would like to save as a Macro. For this example, we will choose the Freeform Tool-  Satin Line Recipe.
  2. Select the Utilities Menu Macro Create
  3. The Macro Box will open listing your selected input method and recipe. The Macro can be assigned to any key 0-9 and has an area for comments. The Comment area is useful as you may have more than one macro for the same recipe.
  4. Click Save to save this Macro Command

Note

Press the K key on the keyboard to quickly bring up the Macro Record box
