All embroidery designs have a start point, (Stitch 1). this is called the Origin. Normally , because most embroidery hoops are symmetrical, this origin is placed in the center of the design. The start point of the image is normally preset by the software at the center. This saves the user from having to perform the measuring of an image and placing the start point manually. However, many times the digitizer will only digitize part of an image, or you will add keyboard text to an existing design. Both of these cases will change the origin of the design to not be in the center. The Software can move the Origin point to any place you like. There are 2 options in the Center Function |
|
This is a quick link to Center the design about the center of the frame. This is the most common centering option. It performs the same function as the Center Frame option below, However this option will save you a couple of clicks. |

The Other options are built in for other places to place the origin such as center bottom, design start, design end and other point. These positions are for specialty hoops such as cap frames. The vast majority of the embroidery designs are origin center. Other Point allows you to click anywhere on the canvas to place the origin. |
