The Basic Tab contains settings for the general display of the working canvas.
Language
Setting the Language will change how the drop down menus are displayed.
Units system
Controls the unit measurement (inch or metric) of the system. This setting changes the on screen rulers, letter height , dimensions etc.. It does not change the settings for density, running stitch length, step length etc.. as these are based on machine steps.
This setting can also be changed by clicking the control at the top left corner of the on screen rulers.
General
Display Cross
Choose the mouse cursor pointer as an arrow or a large cross hair. The large cross hair is useful for aligning items while the arrow is smaller.
Enable Sound Feedback
The system will generate different sounds for corner points, curves, etc.. This feature can be disabled if you find this distracting
Use Audio Card
Enabled only if Sound Feedback is enabled. Directs sound to PC sound card instead of the internal speaker. This is helpful in areas with loud background noise.
Hide Horizontal Properties ...
When a tool is exited, the last function performed is still displayed in the toolbar across the top. This feature hides this placeholder to increase visible workspace. However, the toolbar space will resize every time a tool is completed and can be distracting.
Enable Write to Barudan CF
Adds to the File pull down menu the ability to write directly to Barudan CF cards. This setting is optional and will not be present in all systems.
Enable Transmit to Happy
Adds direct link to File menu to send designs directly to Happy machine. This is an optional setup item and is not present in all systems
Auto Save
Periodically saves a temporary file of the working design which will be recoverable on restart in the event of a system failure.
If the system were to shutdown unexpectedly, you would be prompted to recover an auto saved file when you restart.
Save Every XX mins
Sets the time interval between auto saves
